The objectives of the SDHS AA are:
- To collect, preserve and display the school's photographs, papers and artifacts;
- To staff the alumni office and maintain current files of all SDHS graduates;
- To sponsor and assist in class reunions and annual homecoming events;
- To publish for the alumni a newsletter and a web site;
- To support and assist the school and the SDHS Foundation;
- To promote school spirit and student pride through historical knowledge
